I am directed to inform you that Hr. T.
Dealy lately head master of Queen's College in this Colony
was granted two months' leave of absence prior to retirement'
on pension and proceeded to Australia with a view to accom-
panying his wife and daughter, who have been staying in
Australia, to England.

Kr. Dealy had arranged that his pay during
leave and his pension should be paid to him on arrival in
England but a letter has now been received from him requesting that as he has been delayed in Australia payments may be made to him by the Australian Government and I am to request you
to be so good as to pay him the sun of £230 on account of pay
and pension due up to and including 31st. October, 1918, and
if he should still be compelled to remain in Australia to
advance him the sum of £35 per month from the lat.November,
1918, inclusive.
All sums so advanced should be recovered
through the Crown Agents for the Colonies in London who will
be instructed to make a refund to your Government on appli-
ostion.
